VVNG Member Spins to Win Car from Valley Hi Toyota



VICTORVILLE, Calif. — How many spins does it take to win a Toyota Camry Hybrid? Approximately 74 to be exact. On July 2 at 3pm, Valley Hi Toyota’ went to Facebook Live and finalized Used Car Giveaway #16 by having the five finalists spin the wheel containing the car as the ultimate prize. On Round 12, VVNG member, Denise Calkins-Weldon came out as the victor!

“Wow! This can go on all night,” joked Todd Stokes, General Manager at Valley Hi Toyota. “This has gone on for forty minutes, but it’s so much fun with everyone so anticipated.” Contestant Raquel, fortunately, brought a patriotic cake to share with her fellow contestants and their families, which worked well for the 45 minutes it took for the winning spin to happen.

The broadcast grew to up 1,000 people watching live as Denise Calkins-Weldon, Raquel E. Gonzalez-Braunschweig, Melissa Munoz, Kathy Garrison Payseur, Karina Arevalo took turns spinning the wheel as prizes from Bella Mia Salon and Spa, Red Lobster in Victorville, the Brass Pickle Deli, Gridiron Pizza, were given away. It wasn’t until round 14 where Weldon selected Customer Relations Manager, Evelyn Brown to spin on her behalf.

“We have such a connection now,” Brown smiled after the winning spin. Weldon is giving the car to her daughter and her new family. “This is so special. I’ve never won anything big before. This is the 8th car giveaway attempt I’ve been trying and hoping for. All I can say is to Like Valley Hi Toyota’s Facebook page and be involved- it could happen to you!” Watch video here.

Local business, Deluxe Window Tinting is donating the front windows to be tinted, and Audiotistics in Victorville will provide Weldon a brand new sound system.

Brian Ortega, Social Media Manager at Valley Hi Toyota created different ways to become a finalist by posting little fun “assignments” for people to participate in. “We want to get people involved with the community as well as engage on social platforms. Of course, our priority is to sell cars; but who says a car dealership can’t be fun too!”
