APPLE VALLEY:(VVNG.com): In the afternoon of Wednesday, July 15th the Town of Apple Valley Code Enforcement cited a vehicle owner and towed the vehicle used to illegally dump in an underdeveloped housing track near Kiowa and Sequoia Roads. The driver, identified as Hesperia resident Ryan Hodak was witnessed dumping several large piles of dirt and concrete.
“When officers approached the site, the subject admitted to dumping the waste at the location,” said Jonathan Wood, Senior Code Enforcement Officer. “The waste came from a nearby property where he was performing work for Ontario-based company Rooms ‘N Covers, Etc.”
The subject was required to load all the dumped material back into the trailer, and was issued a misdemeanor notice to appear. The truck and trailer were towed and will be stored for 30 days under the authority of the Apple Valley Municipal Code.
“Town Code allows officers to tow vehicles that have been used in an illegal dumping case if the refuse being discarded is commercial waste,” said Officer Wood.
