LifeStream to “Target” Donors at Next Apple Valley Blood Drive

APPLE VALLEY:(VVNG.com)- August 18, 2014: Giving blood is easy and only takes a few minutes. Come and find out how simple it is on Tuesday, September 16 when the Town of Apple Valley hosts its next LifeStream blood drive.
[googlemap src=”” align=”alignright” ]Healthy individuals at least 15 years of age may donate blood. Those 15 and 16 years of age must provide LifeStream with written parental consent. Parent consent forms are available at any donor center or community blood drive. All prospective donors should be free of infections or illness, weigh at least 110 pounds, and not be at risk for AIDS or hepatitis. Donors receive a free mini-physical as part of the donation process. Donating blood takes about an hour, yet gives someone a lifetime.
Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are encouraged to reduce your waiting time. Call 1-800-TRY-GIVING or visit www.lstream.org.
If saving a life isn’t enough of an incentive, LifeStream will give away a $10 Target store gift card and other enticing goodies for each donation! Additionally, donors earn loyalty points from LifeStream that can be redeemed for other complimentary items.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Conference Center at 14975 Dale Evans Parkway in Apple Valley adjacent to Town Hall. Contact LifeStream at 1-800-TRY-GIVING or Town of Apple Valley Public Relations Specialist Charlene Engeron at (760) 240-7000 x7072 for more information.
