Lewis Retail Center at Mojave and US-395 to Break Ground by April

ADELANTO, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Lewis Retail Centers submitted construction plans and officially filed their application at City Hall to move forward with Phase 1 of the Lewis Retail Center, located at the southwest corner of Highway 395 and Mojave Drive, further solidifying their investment in the community.

The first of the development phases will include five buildings collectively measuring over 21,000 square feet, with this portion of the project area occupying just under seven acres of the roughly 35-acre total project area; construction is expected to begin in April.

“At build out, this retail shopping center will offer the residents and visitors of Adelanto over 200,000 square feet of new shopping and dining opportunities, a car wash, and a gas station,” said Mayor Gabriel Reyes.

Those traveling southbound on Highway 395 will continue to experience a partial closure as the related roadwork widening project continues from Mojave Drive to Cactus Road; this phase of the project is expected to be complete by late March.

“This is an exciting time for our community, said Mayor Reyes.  “The Council and I are committed to the continued planned growth of this City and look forward to working with developers and business owners who see the promising future of Adelanto and want to invest in our community.”
