(Victorville)— Taylion Academy is proud to announce that they will be sponsoring the Launching the Future Today Campaign Kick Off Mini Golf Tournament, which is presented by the Inland Empire United Way, Desert Communities Region.
Taylion is not only committing to be a sponsor, but will also have student and staff volunteers on hand to assist with the event. The mini golf tournament is to be held on Friday, June 2nd at Scandia Family Fun Center in Victorville. The kick off event contributes to the School Tools drive. Each summer, the Inland Empire United Way, Desert Communities Region collects school supplies to fill 1,000 backpacks to give to our local K-8 students in need of school supplies at home to do their homework and be successful.
“We are so excited that Taylion is sponsoring our Campaign Kickoff event this year,” said Cari Thomas, Regional Director for Inland Empire United Way, Desert Communities Region. “It is through sponsorship’s and partnerships like these that Inland Empire United Way is able to provide the programming we do for our local students. Education is equally important to both Taylion and United Way.”
As a United Way sponsor, sponsorship dollars will directly benefit High Desert residents through effective programs and partnerships aimed at creating lasting change for children and families. Initiatives benefiting High Desert residents include the School Tools program, Launch Point, Kids Pack and more.
“When Cari Thomas reached out to me regarding this event, I knew Taylion had to be a part of it,” said Evelyn Sandoval, Principal at Taylion High Desert Academy. “The Desert Communities United Way has done amazing things in our community. To be a part of it and help give back to students in need; we are overjoyed to be able to help.”
