VICTORVILLE: Just after 9:45 p.m., several fire engines were dispatched to a report of a structure fire. Upon arrival, they discovered an approximately 1200 square foot home well engulfed in the area of Hesperia Road and Batson Road.
Smoke filled the air nearly a quarter-mile from the blaze as flames spread throughout the home. The home was fully engulfed when the firefighters rushed to the scene.
“I was heading down Hesperia Road and saw lots of smoke, it smelled like wood burning,” explained Victor Valley News Group member Nathan Anthony Cervantes. “We pulled up and saw these huge flames shoot up from the roof.”
The fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters at the scene at approximately 10:28 p.m., and no injuries were reported. The structure appears to be a complete loss.
At this time the cause of the fire is currently unknown. More information will be updated as its made available.
