VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A juvenile driver was arrested after leading police in Victorville on a high speed pursuit that came to an end on the 215 freeway in San Bernardino.
On February 2, 2024, at about 12:19 a.m., deputies from the Victorville PD attempted a traffic stop on a stolen 2014, green Kia Soul near La Mesa Road and the 15 Freeway.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Gloria Huerta the driver failed to yield and a pursuit ensued. The pursuit went on for about 19 miles at speeds in excess of 100 MPH.
The vehicle exited the 215 Freeway off University Avenue. Deputies performed a PIT maneuver and the vehicle became disabled.
Huerta said, “two suspects fled on foot but were eventually apprehended. The suspects were identified as juveniles and the driver was booked at the High Desert Juvenile Hall.”
No further information was available for release. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Victorville Police Department at 760-241-2911.
