John’s Market in Apple Valley robbed at gunpoint Thursday night

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — The Apple Valley Police Department are investigating an armed robbery at John’s Market.

According to police spokesperson Joy Ballinger, the robbery happened at about 9:23 pm, on Thursday, October 4, 2018, in the 18000 block of Outer Highway 18.

“The suspect entered the location and produced a handgun demanding the money from the cash register. The employee complied and gave the suspect an undetermined amount of money,” stated Ballinger.

The suspect was last seen fleeing eastbound on foot from the location on outer Highway 18.

Ballinger said, at this time the only information they have is that the suspect is described as a black male adult and it is unknown if a vehicle was involved.
