Jenny’s Grill Steak & Mariscos in Barstow recognized as Small Business of the Month

BARSTOW – Assemblyman Jay Obernolte (R-Hesperia) has honored Jenny’s Grill Steak & Mariscos in Barstow as the Outstanding Small Business of the Month for the 33rd Assembly District.
When owner Guillermina “Jenny” Brooks first came to the United States, she started working as a waitress in local restaurants. With a desire to create something of her own, she eventually opened her own business, Jenny’s Grill Steak & Mariscos. Her restaurant is widely enjoyed by both local residents and visitors passing through Barstow. Customers stop by for both the delicious food and the outstanding customer service.
While Guillermina enjoys her hard-earned success as a small business owner, she consistently makes it a priority to give back to her community, dedicating much time and effort to feed those in need.
“Jenny’s story is a great example of how hard work and determination can lead to success. Because of her work ethic, she was able to come to our country and open her own small business,” Assemblyman Obernolte said. “Jenny perfectly exemplifies the selfless entrepreneur by using her success to help those less fortunate. She is known for giving back by feeding the homeless in her community. It is a pleasure to recognize Jenny’s Grill Steak & Mariscos as my Small Business of the Month.”
