VICTORVILLE, Calif. – This December, ISU ARMAC Insurance Agency aims to raise both awareness and money for domestic violence. They will be running an online fundraising campaign that will see all proceeds go to the Victor Valley domestic violence shelter “A Better Way”.
Money will be donated for every “Like” the ISU ARMAC Facebook page receives before Christmas. To be eligible for the fundraiser, a “Like” will have to be received from December 1-31. For every person who “Likes” the page, ISU ARMAC will donate $5.
Ryan McEachron, CEO of ISU ARMAC Insurance Agency, told Victory Valley News that he wants to “raise awareness” about everything the domestic shelter does to assist people living in the area who need help.
McEachron’s grandfather started the insurance company back in 1962 where it was based out of Apple Valley. Now based in Victorville, and completely family owned, ISU ARMAC loves to give back to the community that has supported them for so many years.
“All nonprofit organizations have needs all year long; but especially at this time of year. We want to give additional funds for them and help them out,” McEachron said while speaking of the importance of helping in the community.
Located in Victorville, A Better Way assists over 1,500 clients-per-year with a verity of services they have available. They offer a 26-bed shelter as well as help with restraining orders, educational classes, and transitional housing.
“We hope to engage people. I think at this time of year it’s just important to give back. Whether with this venue and liking our page, or supporting some other organization; we all need to be looking for that at this time of year. We hope to set an example; and to help this organization”, said McEachron.
Follow the link to the Facebook page, hit “Like” and then tell your friends and family to do the same. A total donation amount will be announced toward the end of the month.
