Investigation Shuts Down Hesperia Street Thursday Afternoon

HESPERIA– (VVNG.com): On Thursday, March 24, 2016, Arrowhead Lake Road was closed in both directions near Pinnacle Road for just over two hours while a M.A.I.T. (Major Accident Investigation Team) investigation into a March 5, 2016, single-vehicle motorcycle collision.
The hard road closure remained in place from 2:30 p.m. until 4:45 p.m. on March 24th, just after deputies received a notification that the rider of the motorcycle had succumbed to his injuries while in the hospital on March 23rd.
The March 5, 2016, collision was reported at around 6:34 p.m. Deputies from the Hesperia Station and rescue personnel from the San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the incident.
When they arrived they determined that the 2014 Harley Davidson Motorcycle with one occupant was traveling north on Arrowhead Road when for reasons still under investigation the rider left the roadway, striking a curb on the east side of the road and was subsequently sent into the open desert area east of the roadway.
The rider was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
