Illegal Marijuana Grow House Discovered in Apple Valley

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Marijuana Eradication Team (MET) are conducting an investigation after hundreds of Marijuana plants were discovered inside a residence.

On Thursday, June 1, 2017, at about 8:50 a.m. dispatch received reports of downed power lines in the 11000 block of Saratoga Road in Apple Valley.

Firefighters with the Apple Valley Fire Protection District responded and located a small vegetation fire in the rear of a residence. A male was seen trying to put out the fire.

Deputies with the Apple Valley Sheriffs Station were requested to respond for a strong odor of marijuana coming from the residence. Deputies arrived and confirmed the inside of the house, as well as a detached garage, were being used as an illegal grow operation.

According to witnesses, an Asian male was seen walking away from the residence prior to deputies arrival. Authorities conducted a search and were unable to locate the male.

The Marijuana Eradication Team removed approximately 8-10 bags of marijuana just before 2:00 p.m.
