Identity of Person Found Dead in Burned Out Shed Still Unknown

VICTORVILLE, Calif:(VVNG.com): A deceased person was located in burnt-out shed in the backyard of a home near Fourth and E Streets in Victorville on Saturday morning officials said. The fire was reported at 7:19 a.m., San Bernardino County Fire Department firefighters arrived to find the 20’ x 20’ shed fully engulfed in flames.
According to officials, firefighters were able to keep the fire isolated to the shed and was knocked down in less than 20 minutes. After the fire was fully extinguished, firefighters located the deceased person during overhaul.
At this time investigators have been unable to determine if the cause of death of the individual was due to the fire, or if there was another cause of death prior to the fire.
No other injuries of firefighters or civilians were reported as a result of the fire. The identity and cause of death of the deceased person will be determined by the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Department. The cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time, officials said.
