
APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Authorities have announced an arrest made after a man’s body was found dumped and partially decomposed along Stoddard Wells Road in Apple Valley Sunday.
Police say 31-year-old Howard Armstrong of Apple Valley was arrested Tuesday, August 14th, for the murder of Keenan Handley.
On Sunday, August 12, 2018, deputies from the Apple Valley Police Department responded to a report of a possible dead body located in the desert near Stoddard Wells Road West of Grasshopper Road just feet away from the roadway.
Deputies confirmed the victim was deceased and circumstances surrounding the death sparked a homicide investigation.
Through investigation, investigators learned the Keenan Handley was last believed to be with the suspect, Howard Armstrong. A search warrant was served at Armstrong’s residence and he was interviewed by investigators.
He was subsequently arrested, transported and booked into the Central Detention Center for PC 187 Murder.
