Homicide Investigation Underway At Victorville Duplex After Man Found Dead

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Authorities are conducting a homicide investigation at a duplex in Victorville after a man was found dead early Monday morning.

At about 3:37 a.m. on Aug. 10, 2026, deputies responded to the 16600 block of Ramada Drive, near South Mojave Drive, for what officials described as an unknown problem.

“Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male who was found to be deceased. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation. More information will be provided as it becomes available,” San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Jenny Smith said.

Sheriff’s Department media logs listed the incident as a homicide investigation.

VVNG responded to the scene and observed a detective and a crime scene investigator entering one of the units of the duplex as the investigation continued.

Behind the duplex, investigators also focused their attention on an alleyway. A detective and an officer with a police K9 were observed walking up and down the alley as the dog sniffed along the area in what appeared to be a search.

Authorities have not said what investigators were looking for. The circumstances surrounding the death remain under investigation, and no additional details were immediately available.

The identity of the deceased man has not been released. This is a developing story. VVNG will update this article as additional information becomes available.
