UPDATE: Man Killed on 210 Freeway Identified as a Hesperia Man

UPDATE: 10/6 @3:30 p.m.- The victim has been identified as Ricardo Chavez, age 40 a resident of Hesperia. Mr. Chavez’s vehicle is described as a blue 1985 Nissan 4 x 4. Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in determining who is responsible for the death of Mr. Chavez. Anyone who may have been in the area of the Day Creek off-ramp, westbound Interstate 210, Saturday evening at approximately 8:00 p.m. is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Department Homicide Detail (909) 387-3589 or Sheriff’s Dispatch at (909) 387-8313.

 

videoRANCHO CUCAMONGA:(VVNG.com)- On Saturday, October 4, 2014, at 7:52 p.m., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to the report of an injured person on the north side of the westbound 210 freeway, just east of the Day Creek exit. The victim was transported to a local area hospital where he died from his injuries. The victim has not been identified at this time.

The Sheriff’s Homicide Detail was requested and responded to the location due to suspicious circumstances. The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available for release.

According to officials the westbound lanes are expected to reopen at 9:00 a.m., on Sunday.
