Homeless woman smashes window of Victorville PD with a rock and assaults off-duty officer

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A homeless woman was arrested after allegedly smashing a window of the Victorville Police Department, damaging a very expensive vehicle, and attempting to assault an off-duty CHP officer, officials said.

The bizarre incident happened at about 8:00 am., on May 1, 2019, when the suspect, Lisa Kay Hall, 48, a transient, caused extensive damage after throwing a large rock at the window of the VVPD in the 14200 block of Amargosa Road.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez told Victor Valley News, Hall then went across the street to a car dealership and threw the rock at a window of a vehicle valued at approximately $160,000, causing approx. $1000 damage to the vehicle.

An off-duty California Highway Patrol Officer saw Hall damaging the vehicle and followed her to the Del Taco at the corner of Kentwood Blvd. and Palmdale Road.

According to Rodriguez, the off-duty officer approached Hall inside the restaurant and identified himself. He told her deputies were on their way and she was being detained.

“She tried to hit the Officer with the rock but he was able to use a chair to deflect it. She bit his hand and hit him in the head while he was in the process of physically detaining her, to protect himself and others,” stated Rodriguez.

Hall was taken into custody by deputies at the restaurant. She was arrested and booked for assault with a deadly weapon on an officer, threatening crime with intent to terrorize, vandalism over $400, and obstructing & resisting arrest.
