Home Depot volunteers team up with Juniper Elementary School to refresh on-campus bird sanctuary

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — To celebrate National Volunteer Week last week, volunteers from The Home Depot teamed up with Juniper Elementary School to refresh an on-campus bird sanctuary.
Over the course of two days, 20+ local Team Depot volunteers completely renovated what once was an empty, patchy lot to a beautiful, quiet space for students and teachers.
In addition to transforming the bird sanctuary, volunteers met the children that would be utilizing the area daily – making it an extra special experience for those involved.
Laura Fedders, the third grade teacher who organized this project through The Home Depot Foundation, expressed nothing but gratitude for the work that was done noting, “It’s incredibly exciting for this old school of ours!”
Juniper Elementary is located at 9400 I Avenue in Hesperia.
