Hit-and-Run Driver Leaves Pedestrian Lying in the Roadway

HESPERIA-(VVNG.com): A pedestrian struck by a vehicle and was left injured and lying on the rain-soaked roadway after a hit-and-run on Wednesday night.
At around 6:25 p.m. deputies and medical personnel were dispatched to the vehicle versus pedestrian at the intersection of Bear Valley Road and Mariposa Road.
Upon arrival, authorities located the male subject on the ground breathing and talking, but injured. The male driver of the vehicle involved in the accident drove away from the scene without rendering aid to the pedestrian.
According to witnesses, the driver that fled the scene in a Dodge Magnum. Deputies located the vehicle made contact with driver of the vehicle clearing them of= of any wrongdoing. Deputies determined that the vehicle reported was one that belonged to one of the reporting parties.
As of 8:30 P.M., the driver remains at large. Anyone with information is urged to contact the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Hesperia Station at (760) 947-1500.
