WRIGHTWOOD, Calif. (VVNG.com) A rescue operation is underway for a man who fell over 500 feet down a hiking trail.
The incident was reported at about 3:30 p.m. on July 4, 2017, near the Blue Ridge Truck Trail along Highway 2.
Per scanner reports, a male hiker fell 540 feet down and was reportedly hanging on a tree.
A rescue helicopter has been requested to hoist the man to safety.
