ADELANTO, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Highway 395 in Adelanto is closed after a pedestrian was struck and killed on Super Bowl Sunday.
It happened at about 9:22 pm, on February 11, 2024, near the High Desert Truck Stop on US-395.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and canceled a prior ETA request for an airship and the pedestrian was pronounced at the scene.
According to preliminary reports, a male pedestrian wearing dark clothing was walking across the highway and was struck by an SUV.
A 2016 GMC Terrain with its airbags deployed and flashers on was stopped along the shoulder of the west side of the highway. The male driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
At this time it’s unknown how long the closure will remain in place. This is a developing story and information will be updated as it becomes available.
