Highland Police find bicyclist dead in the road after hit-and-run

HIGHLAND, Calif. (VVNG.com) — The Highland Police Department is asking for the public’s help with information on a fatal hit-and-run collision.
On January 21, 2019, at about 8:30 pm, at the intersection of Sterling Avenue and North 9th Street in Highland reference a man laying in the street.
“Upon arrival, it was determined John Doe was riding his bicycle on Sterling Ave. and was struck by a southbound vehicle. The unknown vehicle fled the scene of the collision,” stated a news release.
John Doe was pronounced deceased at the scene by the fire department.
