High Desert Book Fair at Hesperia Civic Plaza Park on October 12th

HESPERIA, Calif. — Wordsmith Productions (formally named Victor Valley Arts and Education Center) presents the fourth annual High Desert Book Festival on Saturday, October 12, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Hesperia Civic Plaza Park, 15833 Smoke Tree Street, Hesperia, co-sponsored by the Hesperia Recreation and Park District and the City of Hesperia.
The festival will have booths with authors from several genres, a children’s pavilion, an artists’ village and poetry corner. Registration for volunteers, authors, publishers, literary agents and anyone with book-related services is now open at highdesertbookfest.org. Wordsmith Productions also encourages businesses and civic groups who would like to help sponsor the event to visit their website as well.
“Hesperia Civic Plaza Park is such a perfect location for an outdoor book festival considering the lovely grassy areas, fountains, its proximity to the movie theater and the county library, it’s ideal for a cultural community event of this kind. Authors and book lovers get to meet and mingle,” said Wordsmith CEO, Davida James.
“Hesperia Recreation and Park District is very excited about co-sponsoring the event. We support Wordsmith’s mission to make the High Desert Book Festival a destination event for San Bernardino County,” said Lindsay Woods, General Manager of the Hesperia Recreation and Park District.
