Hesperia Woman Arrested For DUI and Child Cruelty
HESPERIA, CA:(VVNG.com)- A 25-year-old Hesperia woman identified as Dedeanne Marie Marler Johnson was arrested for driving under the influence and cruelty to a child.
On Saturday, September 10, 2016 at approximately 12:57 p.m., Deputies of the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to a report of a reckless driver. The vehicle, a Ford van, was reportedly driving out of control on Sultana and drove through a few yards causing damage, but no injuries.
Deputies arrived to find the suspect, Dedeanne Marie Marler Johnson, trying to walk away from the scene with her children. After making contact with suspect Johnson, deputies found she showed signs of being impaired and had been driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication.
After further evaluation, suspect Johnson was arrested and booked at HDDC on charges of VC23152(b)-Driving under the influence and PC273a(a)- Cruelty to a child.
No one was injured during these collisions, but the children in suspect Johnson’s vehicle were put in serious danger as a result of her decision to drive under the influence. Child Protective Services were contacted and the two toddler aged children were released to their care.
