Hesperia Unified School District Employee Arrested

HESPERIA:(VVNG.com)- Parents with students at Ranchero Middle School and Sultana High School received a very alarming automated call from the district on the evening of August 15th.
In the automated call school officials notified parents that there was an arrest made of a Hesperia School District employee on the previous day for suspicion of having inappropriate contact with a minor. The employee, who is currently in custody, was a campus assistant at Ranchero Middle School and a walk on coach at Sultana High School.
The unidentified employee, in order to follow protocol in this type of situation has been put on paid leave and is prohibited from coming back on school grounds until the investigation results are in and he is cleared of any wrongdoing.
“While the facts of the case remain to be determined, we want to assure our community that we place the highest priority on student safety, well-being and privacy and assisting law enforcement in gathering the facts to ensure that justice will be served.” David McLaughlin, Superintendent wrote in a statement in a press release.
