Hesperia search nets 3 arrests, drugs, and stolen loaded guns

UPDATE 10/18/17 – Zachariah Pacillas II was convicted of Sale/Transfer/Loan Of Firearm w/o Dealer and was sentenced to 60 days in jail (weekends) and 3 years probation. To date, no charges appear to have been filed against either Matthew Clifford or Michelle Gibson.

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) Three people were arrested during a Friday morning search warrant, additionally, authorities recovered several stolen loaded handguns and methamphetamine.

On October 6, Investigators from the High Desert Regional Gang Team served a search warrant at a home in the 9500 block of Mango Avenue in Hesperia.

Zachariah Pacillas, 19, and Michelle Gibson, 44, both residents of Hesperia, were located inside.

“While the search warrant was in the process of being served, and with several Sheriff vehicles parked out in front of the residence, a vehicle pulled into the driveway,” sheriff’s officials said in a news release.

The driver, 41-year-old Matthew Clifford, a resident of Lucerne Valley, was met by investigators as he exited his vehicle. During a search of his person, he was found to be in possession approximately one ounce of methamphetamine.

“The search of the residence resulted in the recovery of a .38cal handgun and a 9mm handgun, both weapons were loaded and reported stolen. Investigators also located several baggies of methamphetamine,” sheriff’s officials said in a news release.

Pacillas and Gipson were arrested for possession of narcotics while in possession of a loaded firearm. Clifford was arrested for transportation for sales of methamphetamine and all were booked at the High Desert Detention Center.
