Hesperia residents without power Thursday evening

UPDATE @ 7:30pm – Power has been restored to almost all SCE customers.

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Nearly 1,600 Hesperia residents are without electricity due to a power outage here Thursday.

Members of Victor Valley News Group on Facebook began reporting the outage at about 5:39 pm, on July 12, 2018.

According to the Southern California Edison website, 1,598 customers are without electricity and the estimated restoration time is 9:15 pm.

The outage appears to be wide-spread affecting residents in the following areas: Main Street, Peach Avenue, Choiceanna Avenue, Live Oak Street, Orange Street, Rocksprings Road, Hinton Street, Danbury Avenue, Bangor Avenue, Arrowhead Lake Road, and several others.

According to SCE, a field investigator has been alerted and is on route to the outage. As of now, the cause of the outage is under investigation.
