Hesperia police arrest man in DUI hit-and-run

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 28-year-old driver who fled the scene of a crash in Hesperia was arrested after he was followed home, officials said.
It happened on Friday, April 12, 2019, at the intersection of Choiceana Avenue and Vine Street in Hesperia.
Sheriff’s Spokeswoman Cindy Bachman told Victor Valley News at about 4:30 pm, a 3 vehicle collision occurred and one of the drivers left the scene without contacting the other drivers.
“One driver followed the vehicle to a residence on Carissa Ave. and deputies made contact with the driver,” stated Bachman.
The suspect was identified as Gambino Perez,
Bachman said Gambino was arrested for Hit and Run & Driving Under the Influence. He was booked and later cite released.
No other injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
