Hesperia police arrest man after a brief pursuit on Thursday afternoon

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Brandon Stone, 25, of Hesperia, was arrested after leading police on a brief pursuit, officials said.

Just before 3:00 pm, on Thursday, June 20, 2019, a deputy attempted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation on an F250 truck in the area of Mojave and 3rd in Hesperia.

The driver failed to yield to the officers lights and sirens leading police on a short chase.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Jodi Miller said the pursuit ended near 2nd Avenue and Chestnut Street.

According to Miller, the suspect was also found to have a warrant for vehicle theft.

Stone was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center where he’s being held on a $100,000 bail.

Stone is charged with VC2800.1(A) Evading a Peace Officer and VC10851 (A) Take Vehicle Without Owner Consent. He’s scheduled for arraignment in a Victorville courtroom on July 21, 2019.
