Hesperia Offers Tire Amnesty Event to Residents

HESPERIA:(VVNG.com)– The City of Hesperia, in conjunction with the California Department of Resources, Recycling and Recovery, is hosting a Tire Amnesty Day on Saturday, August 2, 2014. Designed to keep discarded tires out of both neighborhoods and open spaces, the event allows Hesperia residents to drop off up to 9 passenger car or light truck tires free of charge.
Tires can be dropped off at Advance Disposal, located at 17105 Mesa Street, between 7:30am – 12:00pm. Other guidelines include:
- Hesperia residents must present valid identification, such as a driver’s license or water bill;
- Tires from commercial dealers will not be accepted;
- A maximum of 9 rimless tires will be accepted per vehicle/address;
- Semi-tractor tires over 44” will not be accepted.
