Hesperia man robbed at gunpoint while sitting in his car, Hesperia police say

HESPERIA, Calif. ( — Police are investigating after a man sitting in his vehicle was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday night.

The armed robbery happened at about 9:30 pm on September 3, 2019, in the 17300 block of Main Street.

Sheriff’s spokesman Edgar Moran said deputies responded that learned that the victim was sitting in the driver seat of his vehicle in the parking lot, when a Hispanic male adult, approximately 18 to 21 years of age, approached the driver side window and demanded his cellphone and wallet.

“The suspect then pulled out a black handgun from the pocket of his hooded sweatshirt and pointed it at the victim. The victim gave the suspect the items; the suspect then ran to an older model white sedan with contained two awaiting subjects,” stated Moran.

The vehicle fled the scene southbound on H Avenue and no further description on the subjects or the suspect vehicle.
