Hesperia Man Killed in Traffic Collision Sunday Night on Highway 395 in Adelanto

ADELANTO, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 54-year-old man from Hesperia passed away following a two-vehicle collision on US Highway 395 in Adelanto on Sunday night.

The incident happened on September 15, 2024, around 10:50 pm. The man was driving a 2003 Mini Cooper S southbound on US-395, just south of Desert Flower Road. California Highway Patrol officials said the vehicle drifted into the northbound lane, leading to a collision with a 2023 GMC Sierra, driven by a 23-year-old male from Meridian, ID, who was traveling at 65 MPH.

Despite the GMC driver’s efforts to avoid the collision by moving towards the east shoulder, the vehicles collided. The impact caused significant damage to both vehicles, and the driver of the Mini Cooper was partially ejected, resulting in his death at the scene. Authorities are withholding his identity until his next of kin are informed.
