OAK HILLS:(VVNG.com)- A Hesperia man involved in a roll over accident on the southbound 15 freeway south of Oak Hill Road has succumbed to his injuries. The fatal accident occurred on Wednesday, June, 24, 2015 at about 1:00 P.M.
The San Bernardino Coroners Department, has identified the victim as 63-year-old Chester Lee Love.
Love was the driver of a 2005 pearl colored Cadillac Escalade, when for unknown reasons he lost control of the vehicle causing it to go over the side of the freeway and roll over. The vehicle landed approximately 50-100 feet down an embankment.
Per scanner traffic, A retired Fire Chief stopped at the scene and began to administer CPR to the victim who was believed to have been ejected and trapped underneath the vehicle.
When first responders arrived, Love was taken by ground ambulance to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the collision.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
