Hesperia man arrested for residential burglary in Victorville.

On April 28, 2013, at about 8:27 p.m., Deputy Max Kunzman responded to the 14000 block of Begonia Road in Victorville to investigate a report of a residential burglary in progress. Deputy Kunzman saw the suspect, Davon Sheppard, inside of the victim’s residence. Sheppard fled out of a bathroom window and attempted to escape but was arrested by responding deputies. He later kicked out a patrol unit window and jumped out of the patrol unit, where he fell onto broken glass, cutting his arm and injuring his ankle. Sheppard is on parole for PC215.5 – home invasion robbery. He was booked into the Victor Valley Jail on a felony charge of PC 459 – residential burglary, and he is facing charges of PC 148 – resisting arrest, and PC 594 – vandalism.
Anyone with additional information regarding this investigation is encouraged to contact the Victorville Police Department. Many crimes, such as this one, are solved because the watchful eyes and vigilance on behalf of citizens. Citizens are encouraged to immediately report suspicious activity in their neighborhood to their local Police Department. An example of such activity is unfamiliar persons going from door to door, peering through windows or into backyards, and unfamiliar vehicles parking in front of residences where they do not belong.
