HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 21-year-old Hesperia resident was arrested for possession of child pornography after a search warrant was executed with the assistance of a specially trained K-9, authorities said.
On Tuesday, January 27, 2026, detectives from the Hesperia Station, in collaboration with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Crimes Against Children Division, served a search warrant in the 10000 block of Fifth Street.
During the investigation, Detective Loup identified the suspect as Jose Escamilla, who was found to have distributed approximately 400 images and videos of confirmed child sexual abuse material, according to a written statement from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Escamilla was arrested at the scene and booked into the High Desert Detention Center.
K-9 Millie, an Electronic Storage Detection (ESD) dog, assisted during the search. According to the sheriff’s department, “She is skilled in locating concealed electronic devices, including cell phones, USB drives, and other digital devices, which assists in the recovery of critical evidence.”
