Hesperia Man Arrested For Attempting to Run Over Repo Agent

HESPERIA:(VVNG.com)- 35-year-old Geraldo Avalrez,a resident of Hesperia was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after authorities say he attempted to strike a repossession agent with his vehicle.

On Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at approximately 12:37 p.m., deputies of the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to the 10200 Block of Balsam Avenue in Hesperia.

According to authorities, A repossession agent was attempting to make contact with the vehicle owner at his residence. Suddenly, the suspect, Geraldo Alvarez, jumped in the vehicle and sped through a gate and towards the agent. The repossession agent jumped out-of-the-way and narrowly escaped being struck by the vehicle.

Deputies located the vehicle a short time later parked in front of Pep Boys on Main St. in Hesperia. There was damage to the front end consistent with the information given by the reporting party. Deputies checked the business and were unable to locate the suspect.

A search of the nearby business, Carl’s Jr., found the suspect hiding in the ladies restroom. Suspect Alvarez was taken into custody without incident.

Suspect Geraldo Alvarez was arrested and booked at HDDC on charges of PC245- assault with a deadly weapon.
