
APPLE VALLEY, Calif. — A man and a woman found to be in possession of drugs and guns were arrested following a search warrant, officials said.
Rodney Thompson, 39 and Leticia Reyes, 31, both residents of Hesperia were home when deputies served a search warrant at a residence in the 9000 block of Hatfield Road in Hesperia.
On Thursday, February 27, 2020, at about 7:00 am., detectives located Thompson and Reyes living in the back part of the house.
According to a sheriff’s news release, “deputies located several items of stolen property, a large amount of heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia within the area where they were living. Detectives also recovered two illegal assault weapons and one handgun.”
The stolen property was valued at approximately $10,000.00.
Thompson was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for H&S 11370.1(a) Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sales while armed with a firearm and PC 496(a) Possession of Stolen Property. Thompson was found to be on Probation and is a Parolee out of Los Angeles County.
Reyes was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for H&S 11379(a) Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale.
