CAJON PASS, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 22-year-old Hesperia man died after he was ejected from the driver seat of his vehicle along Historic Route 66 Monday evening.
According to officials, on March 26, 2018, at about 6:35 pm, a 2000 Honda Prelude was traveling at an unsafe speed north on Cajon Boulevard between Keenbrook and Applewhite Roads. Officials said the driver lost control while on the curve and the vehicle struck the mountainside.
The crash caused the 22-year-old male to be ejected from the vehicle and he was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency personnel. The coroners office has not released his name.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol. Information will be updated as it becomes available.
