Hesperia Days events set for this Saturday and Sunday

HESPERIA, Calif. — The public is invited to join in on the fun Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 15 and 16, during the 70th annual Hesperia Days.

Weekend events include a 5K run, the Hesperia Days Parade, and many Hesperia Lake Park events.

The Hesperia Days Parade starts at 9 a.m. Saturday on Main Street, from I Avenue to E Avenue.

The Hesperia Days Run/Walk, Skate 5K 2018 race starts at 8:00 am, sharp on Saturday, September 15th. Runners are asked to check in between 6:45 – 7:30 am, at the Percy Baker Center, 9333 E Avenue in Hesperia. Walkers, Strollers, and Skaters meet at the start line by 7:50 am.

Supervisor Lovingood will join in the parade, promoting San Bernardino County’s Vision4Safety program.

The San Bernardino County Fire Department will also be in the parade and will have fire trucks/apparatuses, handcrews, hazmat, a mobile command post and even a flyover from County Helicopter h325 at 9:30 am!

Hesperia Lake Park events kick off at 11 a.m. with vendor booths, a Kids Fun Zone, American Music Festival and fireworks Saturday night.

Canine companions are welcomed to attend the parade but must have and wear a current valid license and must be restrained on a leash no longer than six feet.
