Hesperia Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony cancelled

HESPERIA, Calif. — The 2018 City of Hesperia Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony scheduled for today has been cancelled due to inclement weather, officials said.
“We were hoping for a break, but the weather is not cooperating,” stated Kara Garcia with Hesperia Recreation and Park District.
Although the tree lighting portion of the ceremony was canceled, Garcia said Santa Claus and his special mailbox will be at the Lime Street Park Community Center, 16292 Lime Street, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. this evening, December 6th.
Faith Lutheran Church is going to remain at Hesperia Civic Plaza Park, continue their Nativity scene and have children’s crafts.
We appreciate your understanding and apologize for the inconvenience.
