Hesperia, CA – On Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., the City of Hesperia will celebrate the newest senior housing option with a ribbon cutting ceremony for “the Villas, a 55+ community”. Developed and managed by Eagle Real Estate Group of Newport Beach, CA, the Villas provides housing for low- and moderate-income seniors. The partnership between Eagle and the City guarantees that affordability covenants will be in place for 55 years.
“For seniors who wish to continue living near their family and friends in the High Desert, but who are no longer interested in maintaining their own home and property, the Villas apartments offer an excellent lifestyle option. The Villas presents an affordable solution in an accommodating community setting,” said Hesperia Mayor Paul Russ.
The Villas is located on the north side of Avenal Street, east of Mariposa Road with convenient access to I-15, Main Street and Bear Valley Road, as well as a VVTA bus stop located on Avenal. The Villas is being developed on a portion of 9.41 acres, and will consist of 96 units including 64 one-bedroom/one bath units and 32 two-bedroom/one-and-a-half bath units in four two-story buildings containing 24 units each; 629-square-foot one bedroom apartments, and 875-square-foot two-bedroom apartments.
The fully gated and fenced property offers a safe haven with security cameras and elevators, and provides amenities meant to impart a strong sense of community. Residents will enjoy a spacious 3,348-square-foot clubhouse decorated with historical photographs of Hesperia, complete with kitchen facilities, computer and fitness centers.
