Hesperia Business a Complete Loss After Early Morning Fire

HESPERIA-(VVNG.com): Three employees were able to safely evacuate a burning bar located on the 17100 block of Main Street early Tuesday morning. The 2nd alarm fire at the Main Street Pub required an aggressive attack by the thirty responding firefighters.

At approximately 2:50 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4th firefighters responded to the commercial fire to see smoke billowing from the roof of the building.

The building was quickly determined to be free of occupants and the firefighters were able to prevent spread and extinguish the fire within 30 minutes. The pub, which is in the corner of a eight-business strip mall.

The San Bernardino County Fire Department officials said that Main Street was closed from “E” Avenue to “G” Avenue for several hours due to the firefighter activity. There were no injuries reported as a result of the fire.

The roof of the pub completely collapsed, making the business a complete loss. The cause of the fire does not appear to be arson, but is being investigated at this time by San Bernardino County Fire Department Investigator Tim Tate.
