Hesperia animal shelter pairs 70 homeless pets with forever families

Hesperia, California – On Saturday, August 19, 2017, the Hesperia Animal Shelter participated in the “Clear the Shelters” event, successfully adopting every adoptable dog and puppy in the shelter.

During the event, a total of 70 homeless pets said goodbye to the Shelter and joined their newly adopted families in permanent homes. Event highlights included $20 pet adoption and a meet and greet with Wally, the Shelter mascot.

“This event was a great success and to add to that success, more than 200 homeless pets have been adopted from the Hesperia Animal Shelter since August 1,” said Mayor Paul Russ. “I want to thank both the community and the Shelter staff for their part in reducing the number of homeless pets in Hesperia.”
