‘Her Beautiful Smile Could Brighten Any Room’: GoFundMe Launched For Anysha Mott After Fatal Victorville Shooting

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Family members of 19-year-old Anysha Mott have launched a fundraiser to help cover expenses following her death in a shooting Sunday morning in Victorville’s Eagle Ranch community.
The online fundraiser, titled “Support for Anysha Mott’s Family,” was created as loved ones mourn the loss of the Victorville teen, who was killed in a shooting on Osprey Lane.
According to the fundraiser organizer, Mott was “a loving and kind person with so many dreams ahead of her.”
“Her beautiful smile could brighten any room, and she was deeply loved by everyone who knew her,” according to the fundraiser. “Anysha adored her family, and she had a special place in her heart for children and animals.”

The organizer said Mott’s “warmth and spirit touched the lives of her family, friends, and community,” adding that “her loss is felt by all who cared for her.”
According to a written statement from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded at approximately 11:27 a.m. Sunday, June 14, to the 12000 block of Osprey Lane for a report of an assault with a deadly weapon.
Deputies arrived and found Mott on the street suffering from several gunshot wounds. Life-saving measures were initiated before she was transported to a hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities said the suspect or suspects fled the area in a vehicle before deputies arrived.
Detectives with the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. No arrests have been announced.
The fundraiser states that Mott’s family is now facing unexpected expenses as they navigate the tragedy.
“The support from friends, neighbors, and anyone moved by Anysha’s story will help cover important family expenses and provide comfort as they grieve and remember her,” according to the fundraiser.

The organizer added that Mott’s family is committed to honoring her memory and is grateful for the support they have received from the community.
“Your kindness means so much, and every contribution is a blessing during this difficult journey,” the fundraiser states.
Those wishing to support the family can donate through the GoFundMe campaign, “Support for Anysha Mott’s Family.”
