HELENDALE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — On August 22, 2024, at 1:24 p.m., deputies from the Victor Valley Station responded to a call at Helendale Secondary School regarding threats made by a 13-year-old student on social media.
According to school officials, the posts included images with firearms in the background.
Deputy J. Munoz obtained a search warrant for the student’s residence, which was executed later that evening with the help of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Specialized Enforcement Division.
No weapons were found at the residence, and it was determined that the images were sourced from the internet.
Authorities concluded there was no credible threat to students or staff.
