TEHACHAPI:(VVNG.com)- The body of a 38-year-old Helendale man discovered at a Tehachapi BNSF industrial building over the weekend is being investigated by police as a homicide. On August 17th, 2014 at about 6:46 p.m., Kern County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a man down at an industrial complex located at 1528 Goodrick Drive in Tehachapi.

Upon arrival the victim, Robert Limon, was found unconscious and displayed obvious signs of trauma to his upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Homicide detectives determined that Limon was an employee of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway (BNSF) and had returned to a shop at the BNSF office after working in the field that day.
He was last seen by co-workers at about 5:00 p.m., as he left the field to return to the shop. Evidence indicates Limon was assaulted by a suspect or suspects inside the shop shortly after arriving.
Victor Valley News Group member Matt Kilimnik, shared the following, “I’ve worked with Rob for several years. Still can’t believe this happened. One of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. If anyone knows anything please report it. Rob will be greatly missed by all his family at BNSF.”
