Halo Project Festival 2014

ADELANTO: (VVNG.com)- The HALO Project is a collaborative effort to bring help and support to the streets of the largely low income city of Adelanto. Those involved include IEHP, St. Mary’s Medical Center, Moses House Ministries, Victor Valley Rescue Mission as well as many local churches.
The idea of the HALO project was inspired when the founders of One Love Entertainment were speaking to Billy McMahon, Director of Sales Operations at Victorville Motors, Inc. about their goals for the community. He was excited to hear about these goals, since he had a very similar vision. Together they helped unite many organizations to form a powerful team called the HALO Project.
Once a month, the HALO project goes to an apartment complex on Chamberlain Way in the city of Adelanto. During these small monthly events they bring food, clothing, resources, a gospel concert and fellowship to the streets of Adelanto. One of the organizers of these events, Kamaria Love stated, “We can not do it alone. When I moved up here, Adelanto seemed like it was in darkness, almost like it was not part of the community. We want to bring it into the light and show them there is hope”.
On Saturday, May 31st, the HALO project will be having one of it’s twice yearly large events. This event will be absolutely free of charge to the public. There will be contemporary gospel music including rap by One Love Entertainment for attendees to enjoy.
“We want to uplift the community through our music.” said Kamaria Love. Music will also include music from Soldier of Yahweh, X-Man, Crimson Crux, Days Eve, Chris Alvarez, King D, Michael Hart, Mc Blvd, Yeilded, Love Connection and Igorilla. Everything is free including the barbecue, snow cones, medical services, resources, food, diaper and clothing drive (accepting and distributing donations), face painting, balloon animals and crafts. The community is invited and encouraged to attend.
Event location: Maverick’s Stadium 12000 Stadium Way, Adelanto, CA 92301.
