Hail, Flooding, and Severe Thunderstorms Hit the Region

VICTOR VALLEY:(VVNG.com)- The first day of July has brought along a very unusual weather pattern on this Friday evening.
Many Victor Valley News members from Lucerne Valley to Barstow have shared photos and videos of heavy rain and large hail.
According to the National Weather Service severe thunderstorms are forecasted in San Bernardino County east of Lucerne Valley. The High Desert and Mountain areas are under an advisory of lightning strikes, heavy rain with possible flooding, and strong winds.
Winds could gust as high as 40 mph and expected to decrease to 15-20 mph after midnight.
The skies over the Victor Valley have turned from a nice blue to dark grey. Thunder can be heard over the region.
At 5:16 p.m. the NWS issued a flash flood warning and severe thunderstorms warning for areas along Hwy 395 and I-15 near Victorville and points north.
