APPLE VALLEY-(VVNG.com): Just after 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, April 13th deputies responded to the report of a gun on campus at the Mariana Academy.
The Public Information officer for the AVUSD, Kristin Hernandez told Victor Valley News that the school staff and police immediately responded following standard protocol to ensure the safety of all students on campus.
The deputies arrived to investigate and learned that the item in question was a toy gun.
“The safety of our students is our top priority and we take all threats very seriously. The District will continue to investigate and determine consequences as appropriate,” said Hernandez.
