VICTORVILLE, Calif. — The Victorville City Council recently approved an overpass agreement with BNSF Railway for the Green Tree Boulevard extension project.
The project will extend Green Tree Boulevard from Hesperia Road to Ridgecrest Road/Yates Road near Spring Valley Lake.
The project will widen, realign, and construct a new connecting roadway and a new bridge over the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway on Yates Road and Green Tree Boulevard, from Park Boulevard, continuing west and ending at the intersection of Green Tree Boulevard and Hesperia Road.
A traffic signal will be constructed at the Green Tree Boulevard along with realigning the Ridgecrest Road intersection.
When complete, this project will link Green Tree Boulevard with Yucca Loma Road in Apple Valley, relieving traffic on Bear Valley Road.
According to a previous cost analysis, the Green Tree Boulevard extension is estimated to cost about $45 million.
